The populations are so small that research teams have already tagged almost each one of the birds. This helps researchers better understand their behavior to help preserve them.

You can join the best bird groups including American Birding Association or the Audubon Society to know about the birds especially rare birds.

Most of the rare birds can be viewed on their migration routes. Migration routes are the best way to see birds like the white crane. A good bird watching book can be really helpful for this.
